Be Healthy, Save Money: Eat InAugust 19, 2008
How many restaurant meals on average do American kids eat each year? Almost choked on a blueberry over breakfast this morning reading the stat in USA Today (in an article about the new Eat This, Not This, Kids edition) : One hundred and sixty seven!
That's eating out almost every other day? Now my family may skew to the low side because I deeply dislike spending money on restaurants (especially times six), but if my kids eat out once a month it's a lot -- maybe twice a month during vacations when we hit Chick Fil A or Subway on the road. But 167 times?! That's a lot of cash. |
